Crusades
Our vision is to reach out and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those that are lost and without hope in this dark and dying world. Through evangelistic crusades we preach and share the light and love of Christ with those deep in the villages. Creative media, video projectors and films are used to teach about the life of Christ. Putting together our public address (PA) systems with generators on a truck, we are able to go into the remote areas, camp there for seven days or more and set up our equipment every day teaching the people about the kingdom of God and the love of Christ for the world. We address and deal with the dangers of sin and its consequences
Door to door Evangelism
Every week we reach many lives with the gospel through door to door personal evangelism in many different communities in Uganda. We share the love of Christ and we demonstrate it by helping those who cannot help themselves, performing personal tasks for them around their homes according to their needs. Many of these people are poor and sick and are in basic necessities. As we have reached out in this manner, we have seen the mighty hand of God move and set the people free from bondages.
During our door-to-door evangelism ministry we ministered to a widow who lost all her children to AIDS and lived in a place where people threw garbage. Regina lived with the pigs as shown in the picture above. She later accepted Christ into her heart and we helped her build a house through this ministry and our friends who have graciously helped us push this ministry forward. She is now an active member of our church, living in her new home, and happily worshiping God.
Helping the Homeless
Harvest Christian Ministries is currently building a home for the homeless. We minister to those in our community by sharing the love of Jesus. We also take the extra step to meet their basic survival needs by offering a place of shelter for these children of God. There are people whom we have ministered to and has been disowned by their families for accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, lived on the streets, or have similar situations.
An important part of Harvest Christian Ministries is to win souls and disciple them. Our hope is to stand in God's Word to heal those who are hurt, offer hope to those who are broken hearted and train them to become disciple makers to win others to Christ. We put a great emphasis on winning people to Christ and when we bring them to the Church we then give them discipleship training before we send them to be disciple makers. Through doing this we have seen these new believers experience the divine touch of God in their lives and they get grounded into the Word of God.
This gives them a strong foundation because we know that a leader's life is like the foundation of a building. If it is not strong, deep and firmly fixed in a place, this man's life and all he has done will eventually fall. It doesn't matter how anointed he is or how attractive his ministry or powerful gifts he may have. Without being rooted deeply in Christ all he has done threatens to collapse. We learned that many ministers of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ do their job and win thousands of people for Christ. If new believers had no one to help them get deeply grounded in the Word, they will not be able to stand the pressure and the persecutions. Eventually they will give up on their faith in Christ and we will count this to be a big loss.
