Fred began this ministry in 1996 after his radical conversion and subsequent ordination into full time ministry. Pr. Fred willingly shares his testimony of how Christ saved him from a life of witchcraft and Satanism, healing his body and setting him free from demonic influence.
He was raised during the reign of and terrorist Iddi Amin and his own father was a powerful witch-doctor who expected Fred to follow in his footsteps. After meeting Jesus Christ and being healed through the street ministry of an evangelist in Kampala Fred shared the God of the universe and his son Jesus Christ with his family. Fred's expulsion from the family and their attempt to kill him after he destroyed the sacred snake in his father's satanic temple helped propel him into his evangelistic ministry.
In 1994, Fred married Grace and the lord has continued to minister to them in midst of their trials. For the glory of God Pastor Fred's parents accepted Christ in 2001.
In 1996,Fred received an invitations to attend a Christian leader's conference in Virginia, though he was only earning about $ 1.50 per day, Fred trusted God to bring him to the U.S.A by faith. Fred and Grace managed to raise $ 723 for the air ticket and leaving his wife in Kampala, Uganda with a new born baby.
After his arrival to the U.S.A God joined Fred with men and women of God who encouraged him and supported him to start Harvest Christian Church in Uganda. When he came back to Uganda, he bought a piece of land where Harvest Christian Ministry Headquarters are currently located. The church has gone through trials and persecutions to the point that the first church structure was demolished by people who didn't want a church on that area claiming it was a residential area. People were thrown into prisons, Fred and his family had to vacate their home and church not until the government came in and God intervened in our situation.
Right now the church is growing with over 500 church members and 27 branches in the rural areas, we thank God for his grace and mercies and we know that when God says yes nobody can say no.
Mission statement
Our mission is to fulfill the great commission as in Mathew 28:19-20
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."KJV
Vision
Our church is run on a G12 vision: which means a group of twelve and the purpose is to win, consolidate, disciple and send. Following the example of Jesus, each member is encouraged to become a leader of twelve people which people he/she can be able to look after and those people are their disciples. This helps to relieve the pastor of extra work of meeting everyone in person as the cell leader is doing the pastoral work to their disciples. The cell group wins people especially those in their communities through their cell meetings. They look after the people they have won and that is consolidation; they teach them through school of leaders to become leaders and then send them to win more souls.
